Mondrian used to live near Hampstead Heath in North London. When I walk past this row of trees and their reflections I think about how Mondrian’s paintings of trees turned more and more into pattern and eventually his famous grids. He appeared to be focussing on their rhythm in nature. I wonder if this view contributed towards his vision? I have read somewhere that Mondrian ended up hating trees.
Each print is hand printed individually and therefore the ink is never applied in an identical fashion. This makes each print unique.
